“... and I thought, I feel so much better for not drinking, why would I start again? "
Penny
“It’s just an attitude readjustment…”
As life shifts, so too does perspective. After a health scare and the loss of loved ones, Ross embraced a broader lifestyle reset - rebalancing alcohol, food, and daily habits to enhance clarity, connection, and a deeper sense of purpose.
“It sounds weird, but I can eat more cake!”
Meryn identifies the supportive social networks that help her cut down on drinking. By having conversations with friends, family and her partner she creates a situation where she can make choices freely and purposefully. She discovers many surprising benefits as she cuts back on her drinking.
“I talk more openly and honestly than I used to…”
Peter has a complicated journey with alcohol. He has done a lot of self reflection and talks about different strategies and ways to spend time without focussing on alcohol. He explains the positive outcomes he’s experienced including being able to open up to people more.
“When you stop drinking you wonder, what am I going to do socially?”
Penny has realised how easy it is to maintain her active social life now that she no longer drinks alcohol. She has even expanded her networks because she has found more capacity for doing activities in the morning.
